Data mining

Although I cannot thing of how I might use data mining in my current projects, it could be useful in the future. I am impressed with Overview, which would be especially useful in working with large corpora of digital documents. Central Valley Regional History

I propose to develop a regional history website focused on the history of California’s Central Valley. Inspirations for the site include Larry Cebula’s “Northwest History” blog at Eastern Washington University [] and the University of Central Florida’s RICHES (Regional Initiative for Experiences, and Stories of Central Florida) []. It will be developed in partnership with the CSU Bakersfield’s Walter Stiern Library and CSUB Public History Institute
